You meet age requirements.

  • Women age 50-64 or older if not eligible for Medicare Part B:
  •      Arre eligible for a clinical breast exam and mammogram, plus a pelvic exam and Pap test. Bresat and cervical diagnostic services are available for abnormal results.
  •  Women age 35 to 49 (providing that no other funding source is available:
    • Pap tests, pelvic exams and clinical breast exams
    • Diagnostic services with breast or cervical screenings that are suspicious for cancer.
    • diagnostic cervical services if their initial/follow-up cervicall cancer screening was abnormal and was paid for by a SMHW provider or provided by an outside referral with Pap test results of high-grade squamous interepithelial lesion or worse.

 Women who have had a hysterectomy:

Due to cervical cancer or dysplasia are eligible for CBE, BSE instruction, Pap test and pelvic exam.

  • After the third consecutive negative (normal) Pap test within a 5 year period (60 months), Show Me Healthy Women will reimburse for a regular Pap test after 3 years. However, the Clinician’s discretion will override this guideline. If an additional Pap test is recommended, indicate the reason in the comment’s section on the appropriate reporting form.

Due to any reason other than cervical cancer or dysplasia are eligible for one (1) Pap test and pelvic exam to determine the absence or presence of the cervix.

Due to conditions other than cervical cancer or dysplasia and the cervix is absent are eligible for a CBE and BSE instruction.

  • Diagnostic mammogram
  • Stereotactic breast biopsy
  • Fine needle aspiration (FNA)
  • Incisional and excisional biopsies
  • Ultrasound
  • Core needle biopsy
  • Specialist consultation
  • Colposcopy (with or without biopsy)
  • Endocervical curettage (ECC)
  • Specialist consultation
  • Endometrial biopsy
  • Cervical conization 
  •        Loop electrosurgical excision procedure   (LEEP)
  •        Cold knife
  •        ECC (alone)

Treatment for breast or cervical cancer through a special Medicaid, Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment (BCCT), may be available to Show Me Health Women clients who are diagnosed with cancer through a program provider.
