You meet age requirements.
- Women age 50-64 or older if not eligible for Medicare Part B may be eligible for free: (Women with Medicaid, Medicare part B or HMO health coverage are not eligible for SMHW.)
- Pap tests and pelvic exams.
- Clinical breast exams (CBE).
- Breast self examination instruction(BSE).
- Mammograms and diagnostic services.
- Women age 40 to 64 or older if not eligible for Medicare Part B may be eligible for free: (in limited areas)
- Cardiovascular tests: blood pressure checkups and diabetes and cholesterol tests.
- Lifestyle management counseling.
- Women age 35 to 49 may be eligible for free:
- Pap tests, pelvic exams and clinical breast exams, if there are no other services available.
- Breast self examination instruction
- Biennial mammogram if you were 40-45 years of age and received a complete BCCCP breast cancer screening service prior to August 15, 1997.
- Diagnostic services with breast or cervical screenings that are suspicious for cancer.
Women who have had a hysterectomy:
Due to cervical cancer or dysplasia are eligible for CBE, BSE instruction, Pap test and pelvic exam.
- After the third consecutive negative (normal) Pap test within a 5 year period (60 months), Show Me Healthy Women will reimburse for a regular Pap test after 3 years. However, the Clinician’s discretion will override this guideline. If an additional Pap test is recommended, indicate the reason in the comment’s section on the appropriate reporting form.
Due to any reason other than cervical cancer or dysplasia are eligible for one (1) Pap test and pelvic exam to determine the absence or presence of the cervix.
Due to conditions other than cervical cancer or dysplasia and the cervix is absent are eligible for a CBE and BSE instruction.

Treatment for breast or cervical cancer through a special Medicaid, Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment (BCCT), may be available to Show Me Health Women clients who are diagnosed with cancer through a program provider.
